Victor Lindelof has revealed that he is unsure whether he will still be a Manchester United player next season.

The 30-year-old centre-back is among United’s longest-serving squad members having completed a £31million move to Old Trafford from Benfica in 2017.

In that time, Lindelof has racked up 273 appearances for the Red Devils while helping the club win the the FA Cup and the Carabao Cup under Erik ten Hag.

However, Lindelof has had a frustrating season under Ten Hag’s successor, Ruben Amorim, and the Sweden international has not been helped by his struggles to stay fit.

Lindelof has started United’s last two league games against Arsenal and Leicester, though, and the defender will no doubt be desperate to continue his run in the side at Nottingham Forest in a week’s time.

Off the pitch, there remains a sense of uncertainty over Lindelof’s future, with the former Benfica man out of contract in June.

Recent reports indicated a return to Portugal could be on the cards and Lindelof refused to rule out a summer move when speaking to Swedish outlet Sportbladet on Tuesday.

‘I don’t just have myself to think about anymore. It’s a decision we have to make as a family,’ he said ahead of Sweden’s 5-1 win over Northern Ireland.

‘Of course, I always try to think about football and what’s best for me. But it also goes hand in hand. What I think will be good is usually good for the family. I’m making the decision with my wife too.

‘Right now, we’re keeping our thoughts within the family.

‘I feel that I still have a high level in me. The idea is that I want to play at the highest level.’
