Tyson Fury<\/a> and Oleksandr Usyk<\/a> earned a lot of money from their heavyweight world title rematch<\/a> in Saudi Arabia<\/a> on Saturday night, although the Gypsy King got less than he did from their first fight.<\/p>\n

Usyk beat the Brit for a second time, winning a unanimous decision<\/a> victory after his split decision win in May.<\/p>\n

The Ukrainian keeps hold of the WBC, WBO and IBO belts and takes his perfect record to 23-0, while Fury’s back-to-back defeats leave him at 34-2-1.<\/p>\n

All three judges scored the fight 116-112 in Usyk’s favour, despite it being an extremely close contest and a draw looking very possible after the final bell.<\/a><\/p>\n

Fury was confused by the judging<\/a>, saying: ‘The judges gave him a Christmas gift. I feel like I won both fights.<\/p>\n

‘I know I had to knock him out but it’s boxing and this happens. There is no doubt in my mind I won this fight. Frank [Warren] had me three or four rounds up and a lot of people had me up by at least two.<\/p>\n

‘I’m not going to cry over spilled milk, it’s over now. I’ve been in boxing my whole life but I’ll always feel a little bit hard done by – not a little bit, a lot.’<\/p>\n

How much did Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk get paid for their fight last night?<\/h2>\n

The total purse for the fight was reportedly \u00a3150m, with Usyk taking 60 per cent, after winning the first fight, and Fury claiming 40 per cent.<\/p>\n

That sees the champion getting \u00a390m for his efforts and Fury earning \u00a360m on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

How much did Fury and Usyk earn from their first fight?<\/h2>\n

The first bout in Riyadh reportedly had a smaller purse of around \u00a3116m, but Fury negotiated a 70 per cent cut while Usyk took 30 per cent.<\/p>\n

The Gypsy King, therefore, got just over \u00a381m, while Usyk earned around \u00a335m.<\/p>\n

Why Fury will lose nearly half of his earnings<\/h2>\n

JeffBet<\/a> report that Fury will pay approximately \u00a328,188,213.60 in tax on his return to the UK, meaning his \u00a360m will quickly be cut to less than \u00a332m.<\/p>\n

That will see him pay out \u00a326,986,203 in income tax and \u00a31,202,010.60 in National Insurance.<\/p>\n

A JeffBet spokesperson said: ‘If you are a resident in the UK you have to pay tax on overseas earnings in the same way, and that remains the same no matter how much someone might earn.<\/p>\n

‘Good tax advice is always important and in this case you can be sure the Fury camp will have looked at an agreement that would be the most beneficial.’<\/p>\n
