Jamie O’Hara says a Manchester United<\/a> player ‘looks like he hates football’ under Ruben Amorim<\/a>.<\/p>\n

United suffered yet another defeat at the weekend – losing 1-0 to Tottenham<\/a> – and O’Hara described the Manchester giants as ‘absolutely terrible’.<\/p>\n

The former Spurs midfielder has taken aim at several United players following the loss, calling struggling summer signing Joshua Zirzkee an ‘imposter’ and saying ex-Champions League winner Casemiro can no longer ‘run’.<\/p>\n

O’Hara also said Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes ‘looks like he hates football’ as he cut a frustrated figure at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.<\/p>\n

Fernandes wears his heart on his sleeve and does not even try to hide his emotions on the pitch, often looking disgruntled at either his teammates, the officials or the state of the game.<\/p>\n

\u2018I\u2019m more worried about Ipswich this weekend than I was about Man United \u2013 they are terrible, they are one of the worst teams I\u2019ve ever seen,’ O’Hara said on talkSPORT<\/a>. ‘They are absolutely terrible, they\u2019re terrible.<\/p>\n

‘Zirkzee is an imposter \u2013 he shouldn\u2019t have a Man United shirt on it. Bruno Fernandes looks like he hates football. Casemiro can\u2019t run. What are they doing?<\/p>\n

‘You need to build a team around Bruno Fernandes because he\u2019s your best player. He\u2019s having to run out and mark wingers. He looks like he hates football.<\/p>\n

‘No wonder so many players want to leave when you\u2019ve got a manager coming in and is adamant of playing his way and style. The formation is an absolute joke.<\/p>\n

‘I could do a better job than Ruben Amorim right now. I would have found some results. Surely he can see it\u2019s not working and go back to basics.\u2019<\/p>\n

under Amorim and leaves the Red Devils 15th in the Premier League, <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2025\/02\/17\/relegation-now-a-realistic-worry-man-utd-omens-look-bleak-22573089\/\">just three places above the relegation zone.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>United were 13th when <a href=\"https:\/\/metro.co.uk\/2024\/11\/01\/erik-ten-hag-breaks-silence-sacked-man-utd-replaced-ruben-amorim-21912974\/\">Erik ten Hag was sacked back in November<\/a> and ex-Premier League striker Glenn Murray admits they have ‘probably’ got even worse under Amorim.<\/p>\n<p>‘It’s hard to believe, but I think they probably do [look worse than they did under Ten Hag],’ he told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/sport\/football\/teams\/manchester-united\">BBC Radio 5 Live’s Football Daily podcast<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure It might be the case that the players aren’t top players – but make them top players, coach them into being top players.<\/p>\n<p>‘We’ve seen it at lesser clubs – your Bournemouth’s and\u00a0Brighton’s.\u00a0Why can’t Manchester United and Amorim do it?<\/p>\n<p>‘He’s not been in the job long and he’s set his stall out – they’re going to play his way whether it suits the players or not.<\/p>\n<p>‘But, when I look at the group, they’re all international footballers, they should be able to play in different positions. They should be capable.<\/p>\n<p>‘United are playing as a bunch of individuals. It seems almost like a stepping-stone club now – I’ll come, do my bit then get out.<\/p>\n<p>‘The most damning thing wasn’t even the players on the pitch, it was the players who have left the club doing better at other clubs under different structures.
