Napoli<\/a> are prepared to offer Rasmus Hojlund<\/a> an escape from Old Trafford<\/a> but only if Manchester United<\/a> are prepared to make a loss on the striker, according to reports.<\/p>\n

Hojlund joined United in August 2023<\/a> from Atalanta having impressed for the Italian side with nine goals in his maiden season in Serie A.<\/p>\n

Despite still being a raw talent, the forward managed a respectable 16 goals in all competitions last year in his maiden season at Old Trafford.<\/p>\n

However, the Denmark international has failed to kick on this season and is currently enduring a bad run of form in front of goal.<\/p>\n

The 22-year-old has just two Premier League goals so far this campaign and has not scored in his last 16 games for the Red Devils.<\/p>\n

Ruben Amorim’s side have looked devoid of quality in the final third, with Joshua Zirkzee – brought in from Bologna last summer <\/a>– also failing to prove a regular source of goals.<\/p>\n

United’s dire financial situation will likely force the club to sell players this summer if they are able to improve in key positions.<\/p>\n

And according to talkSPORT<\/a>, Napoli could be willing to take Hojlund off United although they will be seeking a cut-price deal for the striker who has yet to fulfil his potential.<\/p>\n

Napoli currently sit second in Serie A and have a working relationship with United having signed Scott McTominay last summer.<\/p>\n

Romelu Lukaku currently leads the line for Antonio Conte’s side who are also set to welcome back Victor Osimhen from his loan spell at Galatasaray in the summer.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian striker, who has scored 76 goals in 133 appearances for Napoli, looks likely to find a new permanenat home before next summer and has previously been linked with United.<\/a><\/p>\n

between Hojlund and Osimhen could prove difficult to reach an agreement on.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking earlier in the month, Amorim backed Hojlund to get back to his best but admitted the striker must remain calm during his dry spell for the club.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He needs to understand that sometimes he has to do a job without touching the ball,’ Amorim said after Unired’s FA Cup win against Leicester.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018He cannot get so frustrated because in the next play, maybe he will have a situation near the goal. So he has to be calm.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018But this is a character, and if you know so many players from that kind of character that he has from that country, they always want more. They want to score, they feel the critics.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018So, it\u2019s a good thing, but he will improve.
