Cristiano Ronaldo almost reduced one of his fans to tears after branding a supposed lookalike ‘veryugly’.
The Portuguese superstar scored his 26th goal of the season and the 926th of his career in Al-Nassr’s 2-2 draw with Al Shabab.
Ronaldo lashed home his 18th Saudi Pro League strike this term from a tight angle in first-half stoppage-time.
It was the 463rd goal Ronaldo has scored since turning 30 – precisely the same amount he scored before he was 30.
Being present to watch his idol score another landmark goal may have provided a measure of consolation for the supporter who would have been hoping for a more positive reaction from Ronaldo as he called to him during the warm-up ahead of the game.
The fan, whose likeness to the five-times Ballon d’Or winner appeared to extend to having slick backed hair, shouted in the direction of his hero.
Ronaldo acknowledged the man who was wearing a Portugal shirt with emblazoned with the former Manchester United and Real Madrid star’s trademark No.7.
The 40-year-old’s response, however, was not quite what the fan had been anticipating and he was clearly taken aback when Ronaldo said: ‘Bro, you don’t look like me.’
He continued: ‘You don’t look like me, you are very ugly.’
The clearly flustered spectator laughed, put him thumb up, and said: ‘You are the best, bro.

‘You are the best,’ before Ronaldo responded with a thumb up and smile of his own.’
Despite adding to his season’s tally, it was another frustrating night for Ronaldo whose team dropped two more vital points in the race to be crowned Saudi Pro League Champions.
Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr are now fourth in the table a distant 10 points adrift of leaders Al-Ittihad in first and ahead on only goals scored of Al-Ahli in fifth.
After the game, Ronaldo took to social media and offered a brief message to his legions of followers and wrote on X: ‘We keep fighting.’
