Manchester United fell to yet another Premier League defeat as James Maddison’s goal condemed them to a 1-0 defeat against Tottenham.
United arrived in north London short of confidence and without several key players after injuries to Lisandro Martinez, Amad Diallo, Manuel Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo.
Tottenham, however, were able to welcome back a number of key players, and it was the returning Maddison who scored the game’s winner with a well-taken finish in the first half.
Alejandro Garnacho and Joshua Zirkzee squandered good chances to rescue a point for Ruben Amorim’s side who slide down to 15th in the league table.
