Arsenal have kept the pressure on Liverpool at the top of the Premier League after a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Wolves at Molineux.
Riccardo Calafiori came off the bench to score the only goal but the game will be remembered for the astonishing red card shown to Gunners youngster Myles Lewis Skelly.
The teenager was shown a straight red card towards the end of the first-half with the Premier League Match Centre labelling the offence ‘serious foul play.’
Lewis-Skelly halted a Wolves counter attack by cynically tripping Matt Doherty on the edge of his own penalty area.
While the Wolves player was still a good 90 yards away from goal, Michael Oliver did not hesitate to show the red card with VAR agreeing with his on field decision.
Wolves were also reduced to 10 men in the second-half with Joao Gomes given his marching orders after a second yellow card.
Calafiori produced the winner four minutes later, brilliantly latching onto a poor Wolves clearance to find the far corner.
