Noni Madueke is set to miss Chelsea’s next six games due to a hamstring injury.
The winger was forced off with a hamstring problem in the first half of Chelsea’s 3-0 defeat to Brighton last Friday.
According to The Telegraph, Chelsea are hopeful that Madueke will not miss a significant number of games but expect the 22-year-old to be sidelined until after the international break at the end of March.
That would mean Madueke will be absent for Chelsea’s Premier League match against Aston Villa this Saturday, as well as their games against Southampton, Leicester City and Arsenal.
Madueke would also miss both of legs of Chelsea’s Conference League last-16 tie which is scheduled to take place on March 6 and March 13.
Enzo Maresca’s side will play one of Gent, FC Copenhagen, Real Betis or FC Heidenheim in the Conference League last-16 stage.
Madueke’s injury adds to Maresca’s injury headache in attack as the Chelsea manager is already without both Nicolas Jackson and Marc Guiu.
