Chelsea are hoping the visit of the Premier League’s bottom side Southampton can remedy their recent woes at Stamford Bridge tonight.
Back-to-back defeats to Brighton in the FA Cup and the league followed by another loss on the road to Aston Villa last Saturday have given the Blues a major wobble as they have slipped out of the top four into seventh.
Southampton are cut adrift at the foot of the table, shipping another four at home to Brentford on Saturday having been battered 5-1 in the reverse fixture back in December.
